I'm fundraising for remote and rural Queenslanders doing it tough

Doing it tough in the bush means doing it extra tough, because people in remote, rural and regional Queensland don’t have the same access to professional mental health services and support. For many, the Flying Doctor is their only option.

That’s why I’m challenging myself to walk 3km a day in March. I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Please support me!

Together we can keep the Flying Doctor flying, delivering 3 major mental health programs (Drought Wellbeing, Remote Wellbeing and Wellbeing Out West) and over 12,100 mental health consultations a year to regional, rural and remote Queensland.

Please donate to my challenge today!

Every step is a step forward

Monday 23rd Feb
Hey everyone! This month, I’m taking on the Royal Flying Doctors walking challenge. I’m doing this because mental health is just as critical as physical health, especially for those living in the Outback who don’t have a clinic right down the street. So why not combine both. Ill be getting fresh air to fuel the mind and burning those calories. The RFDS provides a vital lifeline for people in isolation, and every step I take is to help ensure no one has to face their struggles alone.

Bridge the gap

Monday 23rd Feb
I’ve learned firsthand that a little understanding goes a long way. Throughout my life, I’ve seen how mental health challenges can affect anyone—myself included. I am so incredibly grateful for the people who looked past a diagnosis. Having a solid support system changes everything, but not everyone is that lucky—especially those in remote areas. That’s why I’m taking on this challenge for. I want to make sure no one has to navigate their journey alone.Mental health is a journey we shouldn't have to walk alone. I’ve been fortunate to have people in my corner who lead with acceptance rather than judgment, and it’s made all the difference in my own life. However, many people—particularly those in isolated or remote communities—lack that vital connection. I’m raising funds to help bridge that gap. Everyone deserves a support system, no matter where they live.

Keep moving
