Fundraising for struggling Queenslanders
RFDS Fit to Fly Challenge
This March, I’m taking part in the Fit to Fly Challenge, yet another amazing RFDS fund-raiser.
I’m from a remote town in Queensland, where the Royal Flying Doctor Service proves to be vital and has a strong communiry impact. Last year, I began the Oceans to Outback Challenge, before I needed RFDS myself due to thyroid complications.
The experience showed me firsthand the influence RFDS has on people living in rural and remote Australia. When a decent hospital isn’t nearby, the RFDS becomes a lifeline.
With this new-found motivation I greatly surpassed all my goals in the O2O challenge. Now I can’t wait to take on yet another one and give back to the ervice and remote communities that use it most. Every kilometre this March helps keep the RFDS flying for struggling Queenslanders.
